How does an instant camera work?

When the shutter is released, a special film is exposed and transported directly through the camera. The image is then developed – a finished photograph is produced within minutes.

What is the difference between Polaroid and Instax?

Polaroid uses a larger image format with a soft, retro look. Instax (by Fujifilm) is more modern, smaller, and cheaper to run. The systems are not compatible .

Do I need batteries for an instant camera?

Yes – either in the camera body itself or in the film (e.g., in old Polaroids).

Which films fit which camera?

That depends on the system:

Polaroid 600 & SX-70 → Polaroid Originals Film

Instax Mini / Wide / Square → corresponding Instax film

How long does image development take?

Depending on the film type, approximately 5–15 minutes . Color film takes longer than black and white. Contrary to popular belief, the film should not be shaken during this time.

Can I develop instant photos in daylight?

Yes – but don't expose it to sunlight immediately after ejection . Briefly darkening it in a jacket pocket or under a book helps to improve the contrast.

Who is an instant camera suitable for?

Perfect for anyone who enjoys spontaneous photography – while traveling, at parties, or weddings. They're also ideal as gifts or for creative projects.

How many pictures fit in a film cassette?

Usually 8 pictures (Polaroid) or 10 pictures (Instax). After that, the cartridge needs to be changed.

Are there new films for old cameras?

Yes – many classic Polaroid cameras (e.g., the 600 series) work with new Polaroid Originals film. Availability is good, but not every film is suitable for every model.

How do we classify the optical state?

Our used instant cameras are manually inspected before sale and classified into the following condition categories:

Good: Fully functional with slight signs of wear. Image ejection, shutter release and exposure tested.
Acceptable: Functional with clearly visible signs of wear or slightly delayed triggering.

How do we test the cameras?

We are testing these functions:

✅ Image ejection mechanism

We do not check these points:
❌ Exposure quality under different lighting conditions
❌ Flash function (visual inspection only)

Please note: Each camera is unique. Serial numbers, logos, or visual details may vary. Test shots with film are not provided.

Delivery within Germany usually takes 1–3 working days . You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking information via email.

Can I return the camera?

You have 30 days to return an item. Please visit our returns page to request a return. Alternatively, you can return the item under your statutory right of withdrawal.

Is the camera working?

All instant cameras are tested and fully functional unless otherwise stated.

Are accessories included?

If accessories are included (e.g., carrying strap, case), this will be clearly stated in the product description. Otherwise, the camera is sold without accessories.
